The event will officially begin on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 and conclude on Sunday, July 6, 2008 . * All activities will take place at the W.K. Kellogg Airport, Battle Creek, Michigan. * This schedule will continue to grow as we add even more exciting activities This summer's event is expected to have up to 60 hot-air balloons. * The morning launches will take place throughout the countryside and from the parking areas at the W.K. Kellogg Airport. * The evening launches will either be fly-ins to the airport with various targets that the balloonists will be trying to hit with a marker they throw or the balloonists will launch from the field and fly to a designated target out in the countryside. The event grounds will be filled with an array of: * Excellent eateries * Novelty Vendors o Fun shopping o Military wearables o Collector planes o Logo merchandise and more. * Arts and Crafts Vendors will display homemade items from jewelry to puppets so plan for shopping and great food! Bring lawn chairs, blankets and small canopies. * We have lots of grass and we want you to be comfortable. * Bring coolers (no alcoholic beverages permitted) however, we do sell: o Coca Cola Products o Juice o Water o Beer- Domestic and Imported * Bring sun screen and comfortable shoes. Admission fees will vary each day, however, children 4ft and under are free! Tentative Gate Prices for 2008: Wednesday, July 2 $5.00 Thursday, July 3 $10.00 – 10 AM - 5:30 PM $5.00– 5:30 PM – CLOSE Friday, July 4 $10.00 – 10 AM – 5:30 PM $5.00– 5:30 PM – CLOSE Saturday, July 5 $5.00 Sunday, July 6 $5.00 GENERAL PARKING $5.00 * Your daily admission and parking is good for the entire day. Which means you can come and go as you please. * Although you can come and go, please understand that we can not guarantee you the same parking spot. * Handicapped parking is available and we do provide "free" Shuttle Service. Spectators can also look for an Official Committee Volunteer on a Golf cart for help in obtaining the Shuttle Service Those needing assistance can ask for such from the Parking Volunteers or the Gate Admissions Volunteers. We allow all handicapped scooters and Seeing Eye dogs. * Otherwise, NO pets are permitted on the event grounds. * ATM's will be available, porta-toilets but no public phones. * Should an emergency arise, go to the nearest "Beverage Tent" and they will direct you to the Office Headquarters.
