The Crown of Maine Balloon Fest will reach the 5 year mark in 2008. Excitement for the 2008 festival is already growing despite the challenges weather presented to the 2007 flight schedule, as the memory of the perfect 2006 season is still strong. As the planning continues there will be more information available on this site. The Crown of Maine Balloon Fest 2008 committee encourages you to mark the calendar and make plans to attend.
Aroostook County was launch site for the Double Eagle II, the first trans Atlantic flight and the Rosey O' Grady, the first Solo trans Atlantic Flight.
