P.O. Box 12695 The Great Reno Balloon Race is free to spectators thanks to the generous support of event sponsors. It is always scheduled for the first Friday through Sunday after Labor Day. Weather during that period can usually be described as benign. Dressing is layers is advised as the mornings can be chilly before dawn. But once the sun comes up the mercury rises quickly. If you forget to bring enough layers, no worries. Official sweatshirts and jackets are available at the event.
