Miners' Day Celebration - Is held the third weekend in September at Crist Park. This wonderful community event starts with a hot air balloon lift-off at 6:00 AM. Balloons meet at Centennial Park in Frederick, both days, at 6:15 am for pilot briefing and launch will begin around 6:45 am. There is also a parade at 11 AM, exhibitor booths, various activities, events, performances, games, and friendly competitions throughout the day with musical entertainment all afternoon and a closing fireworks show in the evening.

There are many ways to participate in the event, from volunteering to sponsoring a booth, to participating in the parade. As September approaches, watch the website for up to date information regarding this family fun community event!
