This event is organized and staffed solely by community volunteers. In 1997 the Dansville Balloon Festival was designated as the New York State Festival of Balloons. The festival features:
* 6 scheduled launches beginning Friday, 6 PM, Saturday and Sunday 6 AM & 6 PM, Monday 6 AM
* Arts & Crafts Vendors
* International Food Court
* Free Entertainment
* Rides & Amusements for children
* Car Show
